Working Trader Pre-Trade Checklist.

Use these questions before participation. The goal is not to predict the outcome. The goal is to make sure the trade is being justified by the market—not by urgency, schedule pressure, or the need to make something happen.

Make the trade earn your participation.

Write a short answer to each question. If the answers become vague, rushed, or dependent on the clock, that is information worth noticing before risk is on.

01

What is the market context?

Describe the broader conditions that make this area or idea worth evaluating.

02

What specifically triggered my attention?

Name the signal, movement, pattern, or condition without calling it a setup yet.

03

What turns this signal into a qualified setup?

Identify the additional evidence or conditions required before participation is justified.

04

What is the risk before I think about the reward?

Know where the trade is wrong and whether that risk is acceptable before focusing on what you might make.

05

Would I still take this trade if I had more time?

If the answer changes because your trading window is closing, urgency may be influencing qualification.

06

What conditions would make me pass?

Define the no-trade outcome before the market forces you to improvise it.

07

If I enter, how will I manage the trade?

State the initial management logic while you are still outside the emotional pressure of an open position.
